Listening Practice


There are lots of listening activities with quizzes here.  It's a great way to get used to hearing English at a natural speed.

Some reading to prepare for Brian's lecture...

Brian Smith will be lecturing Monday on academic planning.  There will be a quiz on Wednesday.  To help you prepare for the lecture, you can do some reading.

  • Watch the video Bootlegging in Pakistan and answer the questions.
  • Choose TWO other stories and listen. Write the title of the story and a brief summary of the story on the back of the paper.
  • Turn this paper in at the end of class today.

  • You must watch at least 45 minutes.  We will have the SAME assignment next week, so if you want to watch a longer story, you can watch 45 minutes this week, and finish it next week.
